Speak Out for Beaten, Tortured Monkey in Japan!
Photographs of a monkey who is being abused were recently posted on a Japanese blog. The animal apparently belongs to Dragon Gate professional wrestler "Ryoma" (of the S-5 faction). Reportedly, the animal has been strangled into unconsciousness, beaten with sticks, and doused with hot water. The reasons for this abuse appear to be promotional in nature. The grim revelation of the suffering that this animal endured is an embarrassment to Dragon Gate and Japan as a whole. Please join PETA in urging Japan's ambassador to the U.S., Ichiro Fujisaki, to do everything in his power to secure the rescue of this horribly abused animal. Ask him also to set a precedent for future cases of cruelty to animals in Japan by ensuring that Japanese authorities pursue criminal cruelty-to-animals charges against those responsible for the monkey's torture.
