Pledge to Be Fur-Free
When undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms, they found that many animals were still alive and struggling desperately when workers flipped them onto their backs or hung them up by their legs or tails to skin them. When workers on these farms began to cut the skin and fur from an animal's leg, the free limbs kicked and writhed. Workers stomped on the necks and heads of animals who struggled too hard to allow a clean cut.
Consumers everywhere need to know the truth about fur. When people learn that millions of innocent animals are beaten, boiled, hanged, and electrocuted for their fur every year; that every fur coat, lining, or piece of trim represents the intense suffering of several dozen animals; and that furriers intentionally mislabel fur as being from animals other than dogs and cats or as fake altogether—every decent human being will want to go fur-free.
By signing the pledge below and encouraging your friends and family members to do so as well, you'll be sending a powerful message not only to the fur industry but also to designers, retailers, and others who directly profit from the suffering caused by this cruel industry.
Pledge to Be Fur-Free
I don't believe that animals should be killed to become someone's coat. There's nothing fashionable about bludgeoning animals and skinning them alive. By signing my name, I pledge never to wear real fur.
